Position size calculator
The right lot size for the money you want to risk.
How it is calculated: lots = money at risk / (stop loss x value of 1 pip for 1 lot), rounded down to the lot step.
Ten tools traders use every day - lot size, pip value, margin, prop challenge odds, risk:reward, drawdown, losing streaks, growth, sessions and a tilt check. Pick one below. Every number is worked out in your browser.

How it is calculated: lots = money at risk / (stop loss x value of 1 pip for 1 lot), rounded down to the lot step.
What one pip is worth, and what a trade makes or loses.
Type your own entry and close to see the profit or loss.
How it is calculated: profit = (close - entry) x lots x contract size, changed into your account currency. Sell trades use entry - close.
How much of your balance a trade locks as margin.
Brokers often use lower leverage for gold, indices and crypto than for forex. Check the symbol specification in MetaTrader.
How it is calculated: margin = lots x contract size x price / leverage, changed into your account currency.
How many losses your challenge can take - and your real chance to pass.
Type 0 for a daily loss limit or max drawdown your firm does not have. Pass chance comes from 3,000 simulated challenges with your numbers (the curve uses fewer runs per point, so it is a little rougher). The daily limit is counted from the day's starting balance, as most firms do. Spreads and slippage are not included.
How it is calculated: losses you can take = limit / risk per trade; the loss that touches the limit breaks it. Suggested max risk keeps a full losing day inside the daily limit and 10 losses in a row inside max drawdown.
How often you must win to make money - after costs.
Costs = spread + commission compared to your stop. Example: 1 pip of spread on a 20 pip stop = 5%. Costs make every win smaller and every loss bigger.
How it is calculated: break-even win rate = (1 + costs) / (1 + reward). Average per trade = win rate x (reward - costs) - loss rate x (1 + costs), in R (1R = your risk).
Losses are easy to make and hard to win back. Tap a level or move the slider.
How it is calculated: gain needed = loss / (100 - loss). A 50% loss leaves half the money, so that half must double.
1,000 traders with your exact numbers. Same edge, different luck - see the good runs, the bad runs and the streaks.
How it is calculated: each of the 1,000 traders takes your number of trades. Every trade is a random win (+R:R x risk) or loss (-risk) at your win rate. Costs are not included.
Small, steady gains - and what one bad month does to them.
How it is calculated: each month the balance grows by your gain, then the withdrawal is taken out (never more than what is left). This is arithmetic, not a forecast.
Move your finger or mouse along the bars to see what is open at any hour. Summer and winter time are handled for you.
White line = now. Orange line = the time you point at.
How it is calculated: each session is 9 business hours in its own city (London 08:00 to 17:00 London time, and so on). The forex week runs from Sunday 17:00 to Friday 17:00 New York time.
Six honest answers. Ten seconds.
How it is scored: each Yes adds points - wanting to win money back and losing trades in a row count most. 45 or more = step away, 20 to 44 = careful. Nothing you answer leaves this page.
