Privacy policy

What we collect, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Who we are

This policy covers the LamsaGuard website, software and services, run by LamsaGuard ("we", "us"). Contact us about privacy at [email protected].

2. What we collect

Your account

Your username, email address, plan and account status. Your password is stored only as a salted, one-way hash; we cannot read it.

License checks

When the LamsaGuard EA checks your license, our server receives your username, the time, your internet address, and your trading account number, broker server name and whether the account is demo or live. We use them to make sure your plan runs only on the number of trading accounts it allows at the same time, to give each trading account one free trial, and to spot a shared license.

Trading status for your devices

Today the LamsaGuard app does not send your trading status (balance, equity, open positions) to our server: your phone talks to the app on your own Wi-Fi. If a later plan adds control from anywhere, the app would send a snapshot of that status so we can show it back to you, and this policy will be updated before that starts.

Emotion Guard

If you arm Emotion Guard, we store your Emotion Guard settings and the times of your locks. If you name a friend to tell, we store that email address and send it a short message when a lock starts or when LamsaGuard is removed during a lock. Only give an address whose owner agrees.

Support tickets

When you contact us: your name, email, username if you give it, the topic, your message, and your internet address (to stop spam). If you attach screenshots or app log files to a ticket, we store them with that ticket and use them only to solve your problem. Please do not attach pictures that show passwords.

Free tools and free firewall download

When you ask for a free file on our Free tools page: your email address, which file you asked for, when, your internet address (to stop abuse) and whether you opened the download link. We use it to send you the file and occasional trading tips and LamsaGuard news. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. The calculators on that page run in your browser; what you type into them is not sent to us. They load currency exchange rates from open.er-api.com, which receives your internet address.

Payments

Payments are handled by our reseller Paddle.com. Paddle collects your payment details; we do not see or store your card number. Paddle tells us what you bought and the status of your plan.

What stays on your computer

Your MetaTrader login, broker password and full trade history stay in MetaTrader on your own computer. We never ask for your broker password.

3. Why we use it

  • To provide the Service: accounts, licenses, phone and account-page features.
  • To answer support requests and send important messages about your account.
  • To keep the Service secure, for example to stop abuse and repeated failed logins.
  • To meet legal and tax duties.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Paddle, for payments, taxes and billing support.
  • GoatCounter, for anonymous website visitor counts.
  • Cloudflare, which delivers our website and API and protects them from attacks; it processes your internet address.
  • Google Fonts and open.er-api.com (exchange rates on the Free tools page), which receive your internet address when those pages load.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs our servers in the European Union.
  • Email providers we use to receive and answer support messages.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

5. Website

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly visitor counter that sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you; it records the page, the site you came from, your browser type, screen size and country, but not your internet address. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, also gives us visit statistics without cookies. Our own web server keeps a standard access log (the page, the time, your internet address and browser type) for security and to count visits. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your internet address when a page loads. Your browser may keep small settings on your device.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Support messages are kept for up to two years. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize the rest.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and limited access to our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] from the email on your account. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

9. Age

The Service is for adults (18 or older). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email customers about important changes.
